Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of artificial intelligence in the changing landscape of traditional Arab journalism by examining how these modern technologies have affected the stages of journalistic work and the role of the journalist within media institutions. The study also seeks to identify the challenges and opportunities facing traditional Arab press institutions in light of this transformation, the impact of artificial intelligence on journalistic practices and the credibility of journalism, and to provide a future vision for adapting to these changes. The study relied on Qualitative Research Methodology and used interviews to collect data, with a group of journalists working in different media organisations being interviewed. The results showed that artificial intelligence has brought about significant changes in journalistic work, especially in the way news is produced, distributed and interacted with by the public. Journalists today also need new skills in line with this development, and there are many opportunities that can be taken advantage of despite the challenges, such as reaching a wider audience and improving content. The study confirmed that artificial intelligence can positively or negatively affect credibility, depending on the way it is used.
