Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to TAKWEEN Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences must comply with the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA, 7th Edition).

General Requirements

• Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
• The journal accepts manuscripts in Arabic or English.
• Manuscripts should contain 5,000–8,000 words, including references.
• The maximum number of authors per manuscript is three.
• Manuscripts should be prepared using a clear and readable 12-point font with single line spacing.
• Authors must provide an abstract (150–250 words) in the language of the manuscript, along with an abstract in the other language whenever applicable.
• Authors must provide 5–6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the study.
• References must be prepared according to the APA Style (7th Edition).

Manuscript Structure

Submitted manuscripts should include the following sections:

• Title of the Paper
• Author(s)' Names and Institutional Affiliations (submitted separately for blind review)
• Abstract
• Keywords
• Introduction
• Literature Review
• Research Methodology
• Findings and Discussion
• Conclusion
• References (APA 7th Edition)

Double-Blind Peer Review Policy

TAKWEEN Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic quality and integrity.

All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance to the journal's scope and compliance with submission requirements. Suitable manuscripts are then evaluated anonymously by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

Authors should ensure that the main manuscript contains no identifying information, including names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or self-identifying references. Author information must be submitted separately on the title page.

Submission Requirements

Authors are required to submit the following:

• The manuscript in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
• A signed cover letter confirming that:
  • the manuscript is original;
  • it has not been published previously;
  • it is not under consideration by another journal.
• A separate title page containing:
  • Author(s)' full name(s)
  • Institutional affiliation(s)
  • Academic position(s)
  • Email address(es)
  • ORCID iD(s) (if available)
• Written permission for the use of any copyrighted material, including figures, tables, photographs, questionnaires, or other copyrighted content reproduced from previously published sources.

Citation Policy

Authors are expected to engage critically with relevant and up-to-date scholarly literature. Citations should be directly related to the research topic and contribute meaningfully to the academic discussion. Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to cite previously published articles from TAKWEEN Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, provided such citations are academically relevant and not included solely to increase citation counts.

Ethical Standards

The journal adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics. Authors are expected to ensure the originality of their work, avoid plagiarism, properly acknowledge all sources, disclose any conflicts of interest, and comply with accepted ethical standards in research involving human participants or other research subjects where applicable.
